In an interview broadcast on Morning Edition this AM, Ignatius revealed that, surprise surprise, things weren't as the MSM portrays them.

Ignatius notes that the U.S. and Russia have been discussing the control of Syrian chemical weapons for almost two years, with the Americans urging Russia to take the action now being touted as the " Putin Plan". He notes that Kerry's statement was not inadvertent, but part of the program.
Note how the interviewer keeps trying to return to the Obama as a muddled theme...
BTW, for those who are not familiar with Ignatius, he is a highly respected journalist with deep sources in the foreign relations and political communities.
